get_browser function

Has anybody successfully used the get_browser function in PHP4? I'm using
the browscap.ini from http://asptracker.com/browscap.zip (which is
considerably more complete than the one linked to on the php website).
I have verified that the browscap.ini file is being successfully
parsed. But this line:
zend_hash_find(&browser_hash, "Default Browser", sizeof("Default
Browser"), (void **) &agent)==FAILURE
is failing (zend_hash_find returns FAILURE). I'm not entirely sure
why. Does anybody have any clues? Any help would be appreciated (or
another way of reliably detecting the browser.)
