ok, thanks for the support, I will ask for help when I need :)

Well, I'm not quite clear about this right now .... I need to study this
"openapi" further to figure out what can / can't be done. Basicaly as I have
heard that ingres and postgres have a common base, I think I will implement
roughly the same functionalities.
I was explicitly asked to implement asynchronous queries, but I think I will
need help and advices figuring out what kind of php functions would be more
appropriated to control this from php (asynchronous queries are supported by
postgres but not by the php-postgres module -or did I missed it ?). For
example, when the db reports that it's finished with the query, would it be
useful (and possible) to call an end-user callback function (written in PHP and
passed to the query function as a parameter) or is it enough to provide a
function to test if the results are ready. I can do the later anyway of course,
but I think using a callback function could be more useful ....
What do you think of this ?
