This happens to a lot of people who upgrade to the 2.4 kernels. You need to rm config.cache and make sure /usr/include/linux is a correct symlink into your new kernel source tree. The re-configure and recompile PHP. You also need at least glibc-2.1.3 for this to work right. Check all these and get back to me please. -Rasmus On 19 Jun 2000 fastslack@lainucs.com wrote: > From: fastslack@lainucs.com > Operating system: Linux 2.4.0-test1 > PHP version: 4.0.0 Release > PHP Bug Type: Compile Failure > Bug description: microtime.c > > Making all in standard > make[2]: Entering directory `/download/php-4.0.0/ext/standard' > make[3]: Entering directory `/download/php-4.0.0/ext/standard' > gcc -DHAVE_CONFIG_H -I. -I/download/php-4.0.0/ext/standard -I/download/php-4.0. > microtime.c: In function `php_if_getrusage': > microtime.c:97: storage size of `usg' isn't known > microtime.c:100: `RUSAGE_SELF' undeclared (first use in this function) > microtime.c:100: (Each undeclared identifier is reported only once > microtime.c:100: for each function it appears in.) > microtime.c:106: `RUSAGE_CHILDREN' undeclared (first use in this function) > microtime.c:110: warning: implicit declaration of function `getrusage' > microtime.c:97: warning: unused variable `usg' > make[3]: *** [microtime.lo] Error 1 > make[3]: Leaving directory `/download/php-4.0.0/ext/standard' > make[2]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1 > make[2]: Leaving directory `/download/php-4.0.0/ext/standard' > make[1]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1 > make[1]: Leaving directory `/download/php-4.0.0/ext' > make: *** [all-recursive] Error 1 > --------------------------------------------------- > with Apache 1.3.12 and Linux 2.4.0-test1 > > >
