Stig or Jim, As our resident SGML/XML gearheads, could either of you have
a close look at this WebDAV Apache module that was just released, please?
http://www.lyra.org/greg/mod_dav/
Stig, you will note that it uses expat as well, so it may tie into your
XML work somehow.
Strategically, my bet is that DAV support is going to become very
important over the next couple of years. I want to make sure that mod_php
and mod_dav co-exist nicely. We may even be able to do some interesting
things with the Apache notes table to communicate with mod_dav (if they
co-exist).
If we can't get them to co-exist, then we should figure out how to link
the DAV stuff directly into PHP. The author of the module, Greg, states
explicitly:
"My intent is to provide an Open Source DAV implemention to the user
community. In addition, I would also like to enable Apache distributors
and Apache developers (of derivative works) to include mod_dav in their
distributions or software."
Sounds like he is talking directly to us. ;)
