I´ve analyzed bug #5157 and because I do not have a CVS account I was not able to post a comment, I´ll do now. I think the documentation is right in here. On page.php the class *has to* be included before session_register() (I think), while it does not matter in index.php. Using require() on page.php will do this for your (though it´s place is after session_register() but it will be declared before using require) That´s the same when you do: foo(); function foo() { print "foo"; } you can use the function foo() although it´s placed below the function call, if that function code would be include()ded the function can first be declared when the parser actually reaches the include() statement, using require() (actually totally equal to the version above) the function gets declared before As I remember classes need to be included before session_register() to get access to an objects methods back regards
