Stefan Livieratos:
Configure line was: ./configure --with-apxs --with-mysql \ --with-xml --enable-track-vars \ --enable-magic-quotes \ --with-openssl --with-gettext
PHP3 and PHP4 both ahve to be configured with --enable-versioning
Say what? I'm not running both at the same time, so why would I need to enable versioning? You misunderstood me, or I wasn't as clear as I needed to be with my report. It runs just fine with 3.0.16 by itself. It doesn't run at all with any 4.0 (beta, or otherwise) version by itself.
Please read the installation instructions before reporting a bug and please close your bug report.
I've read them, and I've installed PHP so many times on so many machines that I think I know them by heart by now. You more than likely do, too. Thanks for any help/solutions in the future (if it's possible). According to several people, it's probably due to Apache 1.3.9 anyway. I'm not trying to be a know-it-all. I just thought perhaps I needed to clear that up because getting this to eventually run on OpenBSD is pretty important to me. Unless you close the report, I'd rather leave it open so that someone who is more knowledgeable may be able to track the problem down. Brian
