Hi, I am making a web-interface to a CORBA system we have. I thought that it would be great if I could write the interface in PHP. To do that I need to be able to access CORBA objects from the PHP scripts. I looked around but didn't find anything on this topic so I tested to write a PHP-extension to call the CORBA objects. It worked pretty good and am probably going with this approach. I think I will create a PHP function that looks something like this: returnvalue CORBA_CALL(object_ior, operation_name, arg1, arg2 ... ) And some additional functions for initializing and fetching nameservices and objectreferences and stuff like that. What I would like to know is if someone has built something like this before and you it went. I would also like to know if this is useful for anybody else and if their is some smarter approach that is more generic and can be used by more people. / Daniel Carlsson Buffalo Software
