What do *you* think, I´ll take that as an indicator what ZeNd think, it´ll often be the right one.
I can´t see any negative effect (except that´ll be of course a bit of work) on existing behaviour.
Perhaps a
*get_declared_variable*(array('class','variable'));
would be fully sufficient and it would fit into the current get_declared_class, method_exists and so on, I think.
