getrusage can find out how much CPU time was already used
(although it might not be available on your system)
getrusage() will return an array that contaions the field
["ru_utime.tv_sec"] & ["ru_utime.tv_usec"] for user CPU time
["ru_stime.tv_sec"] & ["ru_stime.tv_usec"] for system CPU time
_usec stands for microseconds
the script is terminated when system and user time sum up
to max_execution_time ...
