From: brad@cimmeria.com Operating system: FreeBSD 3.4 PHP version: 4.0.0 PHP Bug Type: Misbehaving function Bug description: SetCookie isn't compliant In developing a WML based system for WAP (Wireless Web Phones) we discovered a bug with the SetCookie function. The format according to early specifications by Netscape (http://home.netscape.com/newsref/std/cookie_spec.html) which are all in the RFC's (linked from that page), which have been adopted by most as the standard, show the format as: Wdy, DD-Mon-YYYY HH:MM:SS GMT However in the current PHP form it is output as: Wdy, DD Mon YYYY HH:MM:SS GMT Notice, the missing dashes. That seems to work fine with current browsers, but if you've ever done anything with WML and Wireless web browsers you'd know that they are extremely picky about formatting being exact. We are just manually setting the cookies now, but I hope this is fixed so no one else has to try and figure out why their wireless web cookies are not working.
