How are people managing to submit bug reports with such old version
numbers? The form on bugs.php.net goes up to 4.0.1pl2 and doesn't show
4.0RC2. I note also some comments in various reports that say they have
selected 4.0RC2 since 4.0.1pl2 wasn't available. Is there a slow mirror of
the bugs website somewhere?
Regarding the bug itself, I had exactly the same behaviour (same version
of everything and same commands) with the CVS a few days ago, I gave up
and just compiled it statically.

<Zeev> I'd rather die than make PHP 5.0, thank you :)
