I've been tracking this problem for a while (looking for the solution; there are quick
work-arounds available). Cause: configure script does not find sys/resource.h. Someone suggested
that this problem surfaces only on 2.4.* (and possible 2.3.*) kernels with older with older
glibc libraries. I was wondering if anyone has the time to recompile their glibc to verify if this
is true? And possibly also try it out on a 2.2.* kernel? I don't have the time, but if anyone
can try this out and tell me the results - that would be great!

Good luck on this one. Ask Sascha for some of the background on it. It's
been haunting us since 4.0b3, AFAIK.
