Same thing on redhat 6.0 w/ php4.0.2-dev and mysql 3.22.32

Hi Manuel,
I am using SuSe 6.3 and can't confirm your bug. The following
script works for me:
mysql_connect($HOST,$USER,$PASS);
$res = mysql_query("SELECT VERSION()");
print mysql_result($res, 0, 0);
