no
in each ref section and then an optional "this function REQUIRES blah too"
would be best bet.
even better, i´d say "these functions ARE INTENDED to work with blah_2_0_4.foo" and maybe "these functions won´t work with blah.foo < 2 and blah.foo > 2.4"
perhaps that too
