This check is used to select between 2.2.7 / 2.4.4. With libmcrypt 2.4.4 all encryption modules are shared library's. You can possible find them in /usr/local/lib/libmcrypt, libcrypt 2.2.7 has all algorithms build in, hence the size of 2.2.7 is much larger than 2.2.4. > > > lrwx--x--x 1 www guest 17 Aug 15 15:53 libmcrypt.a@ -> libmcrypt.a.2.4.4 > -rw------- 1 www guest 333054 Jun 28 14:20 libmcrypt.a.2.2.7 > -rw------- 1 www guest 50802 Aug 15 14:52 libmcrypt.a.2.4.4 > > I tried configuring and building libmcrypt-2.4.4 with --enable-static-link > (link mcrypt statically) but it didn't help. > > I'd have to check NetBSD ports to see if there're problems with libmcrypt... Don't looks like a problem with libmcrypt, but it seems that you don't have libltdl installed (Which is installed if you compile libmcrypt from source, and do a make; make install) Please let me know if you succeed or need more information. -- Derick Rethans JDI Media Solutions H.v.Tussenbroekstraat 1 6952 BL Dieren The Netherlands e-mail: d.rethans@jdimedia.nl http://www.jdimedia.nl/
