Bug description: php.ini not being read
I compiled PHP as an Apache module. It seems to work OK, but only with the compiled-in default
values; php.ini has no effect. I used the following when i did the PHP configure:
./configure --with-mysql=/usr/local/mysql
--with-config-file-path=/etc/httpd/php.ini --with-apache=/usr/src/apache_1.3.12 --enable-track-vars
phpinfo() shows the ini file being /etc/httpd/php.ini (as configured), but changes to that file are
not being read, even after restarting the web server. Other people i've asked for help on this
issue have encountered a similar problem and have worked around it by setting lots of php variables
in httpd.conf, but it is my understanding that php.ini should be read (otherwise what is the point
of having it?) and such hacks should not be necessary.
Thanks for the great work so far.
