There is SSL support in the openldap 2.0 devel version which has also
LDAPv3 support. I haven't tried that yet but when it's released I'll
look into it.
It seems like no major modifications is needed to php ldap since
the ssl is done on the ldap library level. So only the library has to be
compiled with ssl support..but I'm not 100% sure about this.
