Hi, I got this when compiling php4-200008160945 with curl (7.1): /bin/sh /nfs/s5/space/users/guest/www/compil/php4-200008160445/libtool --silent --mode=link gcc -DHAVE_CONFIG_H -I. -I/nfs/s5/space/users/guest/www/compil/php4-200008160445/ -I/nfs/s5/space/users/guest/www/compil/php4-200008160445 -I/nfs/s5/space/users/guest/www/compil/php4-200008160445/main -I/nfs/s5/space/users/guest/www/compil/php4-200008160445/Zend -I/nfs/s5/space/users/guest/www/compil/php4-200008160445 -I/u/guest/www/mbin/i386-NetBSD/include -I/u/guest/www/mbin/i386-NetBSD/lib/include -I/nfs/s5/space/users/guest/www/compil/php4-200008160445/ext/mysql/libmysql -I/nfs/s5/space/users/guest/www/compil/php4-200008160445/ext/xml/expat/xmltok -I/nfs/s5/space/users/guest/www/compil/php4-200008160445/ext/xml/expat/xmlparse -I/usr/pkg/include -DXML_BYTE_ORDER=12 -g -O2 -o php -export-dynamic stub.lo libphp4.la file.c:600: warning: tempnam() possibly used unsafely, consider using mkstemp() /usr/lib/bison.simple:249: Definition of symbol `_gd_parse' (multiply defined) rfc1867.c:297: warning: tempnam() possibly used unsafely, consider using mkstemp() /usr/local/share/bison.simple:249: Definition of symbol `_gd_parse' (multiply defined) *** Error code 1 Stop. *** Error code 1 Stop. This doesn't happen if I omit curl support. It compiles fine without curl. NB: The two files don't exist of course on the system I'm compiling php (/usr/lib/bison.simple and /usr/local/share/bison.simple) I don't have bison installed right now because of internal problems in my school. Do I *have* to have bison installed properly to get curl support ? I should have bison 1.28a back in a new days so I'll try again. BTW, there's a little warning when configuring php with bison, it's not aware of bison > 1.28 (1.28a here, a development version) but it compiles fine however. (the other warnings concerning tempnam() were submitted in bug report #5744 I compile on NetBSD with gcc 2.7.2.2 and here's my ./configure line: ./configure --with-config-file-path=/space/www/etc/httpd/conf/php_cgi \ --enable-discard-path \ --with-gd=/u/guest/www/mbin/i386-NetBSD \ --with-mysql \ --with-dbase \ --with-zlib=/u/guest/www/mbin/i386-NetBSD \ --with-mcrypt=/u/guest/www/mbin/i386-NetBSD \ --with-mhash=/u/guest/www/mbin/i386-NetBSD \ --enable-ftp \ --enable-inline-optimization \ --with-jpeg-dir=/u/guest/www/mbin/i386-NetBSD \ --with-curl=/u/guest/www/mbin/i386-NetBSD \ --with-imap=/u/guest/www/mbin/i386-NetBSD/lib -- Olivier.Cahagne@epita.fr
