Hi,
Try compiling PHP without including gd support but with including curl support and let me know what happens.
I took the following snapshot: php4-200008161745 I stripped the ./configure line down to: ./configure --with-config-file-path=/space/www/etc/httpd/conf/php_cgi \ --enable-discard-path \ --without-gd \ --with-curl=/u/guest/www/mbin/i386-NetBSD and I still get the same error: Making all in Zend Making all in main Making all in ext Making all in curl Making all in db Making all in mysql Making all in libmysql Making all in pcre Making all in pcrelib Making all in posix Making all in session Making all in standard Making all in xml Making all in expat Making all in xmltok Making all in xmlparse Making all in sapi Making all in cgi Making all in regex Making all in . /bin/sh /nfs/s5/space/users/guest/www/compil/php4-200008161745/libtool --silent --mode=link gcc -DHAVE_CONFIG_H -I. -I/nfs/s5/space/users/guest/www/compil/php4-200008161745/ -I/nfs/s5/space/users/guest/www/compil/php4-200008161745 -I/nfs/s5/space/users/guest/www/compil/php4-200008161745/main -I/nfs/s5/space/users/guest/www/compil/php4-200008161745/Zend -I/nfs/s5/space/users/guest/www/compil/php4-200008161745 -I/u/guest/www/mbin/i386-NetBSD/include -I/nfs/s5/space/users/guest/www/compil/php4-200008161745/ext/mysql/libmysql -I/nfs/s5/space/users/guest/www/compil/php4-200008161745/ext/xml/expat/xmltok -I/nfs/s5/space/users/guest/www/compil/php4-200008161745/ext/xml/expat/xmlparse -I/usr/pkg/include -DXML_BYTE_ORDER=12 -g -O2 -o php -export-dynamic stub.lo libphp4.la file.c:600: warning: tempnam() possibly used unsafely, consider using mkstemp() /usr/lib/bison.simple:249: Definition of symbol `_gd_parse' (multiply defined) rfc1867.c:297: warning: tempnam() possibly used unsafely, consider using mkstemp() /usr/local/share/bison.simple:249: Definition of symbol `_gd_parse' (multiply defined) *** Error code 1 Stop. *** Error code 1 Stop.
