Hello,
regarding multi-hosting of PHP, Safe Mode poses some delicate problems
to solve.
1. One is that you cannot auto_append or auto_prepend a file that's not
owned by the owner of the running script.
Is there a way to circumvent that limitation or [sh][w]ould auto_*
directives benefit from a special handling ? One solution would be to
accept that a file owned by the server and called from the auto_*pend
directives be included.
2. Another is that you cannot create/save files with your own UID/GID
and need to chmod the files in order to manipulate them (write/delete).
We're trying to find a (secure) solution to make Safe Mode accept script
owner's UID and GID.
Any thought, idea, comment, security consideration are welcome.
