Hi,
Here're my reports with 4.0.2RC1 on NetBSD x86 compiled with gcc 2.7.2.2 and the
following configure line:
./configure --with-config-file-path=/space/www/etc/httpd/conf/php_cgi \
--enable-discard-path \
--with-gd=/u/guest/www/mbin/i386-NetBSD \
--with-mysql \
--with-dbase \
--with-zlib=/u/guest/www/mbin/i386-NetBSD \
--with-mcrypt=/u/guest/www/mbin/i386-NetBSD \
--with-mhash=/u/guest/www/mbin/i386-NetBSD \
--enable-ftp \
--enable-inline-optimization \
--with-jpeg-dir=/u/guest/www/mbin/i386-NetBSD \
--with-imap=/u/guest/www/mbin/i386-NetBSD/lib
Overall, everything works fine (300 users testing and developing php projects
here), except these following minor bugs:
- bug #4081: phpinfo() not displaying graphics in case of
--enable-discard-path, already discussed here.
- bug #5744: gcc warns me tempnam() is possibly used unsafely, this was covered
in the last days, saying mkstemp() could be used instead.
- bug #3978: png support for GD, I still have to edit configure to add "-lpng
-lz" to $LIBS when checking for png support, to force to link in this order,
otherwise, configure later link with -lz first and this gives me an error. With
this modification, png functions work well.
I tried configuring without zlib support but it didn't change anything (-lz is
still before -lpng).
- bug #5746: is nbdm support mandatory ? I do not require nbdm functions but
they get included however, is it possible not to include ndbm (or any other dbm
library) ? (it increases the php binary in my case) ?
Finally, a more serious bug, when I try to include curl support, I simply cannot
compile php anymore: curl support does configure well (with curl 7.1) but fails
compiling:
file.c:595: warning: tempnam() possibly used unsafely, consider using mkstemp()
/usr/lib/bison.simple:249: Definition of symbol `_gd_parse' (multiply defined)
rfc1867.c:297: warning: tempnam() possibly used unsafely, consider using mkstemp
()
/usr/local/share/bison.simple:249: Definition of symbol `_gd_parse' (multiply de
fined)
