Hi,
Very weird warnings. I have a vague idea as to what makes them occur, but it really makes no sense. It seems as if the compiler takes its current-working-directory from the #line directives. What compiler is that?
I isolated the problem to be gcc: using gcc 2.7.2.2+myc2, I see those warnings (might come from gcc installation ?). It does not come from the user settings, as I have the same thing with another user on the same system. I configured php with just ./configure Both users don't have these warnings on NetBSD 1.4.2 with egcs 2.91.60 (therefore, php compilation fails because of -lgdbm: no match at the final linkage step, but that's another story :) With both these compilers, I get the second warning however (dl.c:91: warning: `IS_SLASH' redefined). PS: There're other warning concerning tempnam() but I saw it would be worked on later, see http://bugs.php.net/?id=5744
I get the following warnings when compiling 4.0.2: it's not important but I just want to keep you informed. /home/php/php4/php-4.0.2/main/configuration-parser.y:25: warning: Header file /home/php/php4/php-4.0.2/main/php.h exists, but is not readable /home/php/php4/php-4.0.2/main/configuration-parser.y:26: warning: Header file /home/php/php4/php-4.0.2/main/php_globals.h exists, but is not readable /home/php/php4/php-4.0.2/main/configuration-parser.y:27: warning: Header file /home/php/php4/php-4.0.2/main/php_ini.h exists, but is not readable /home/php/php4/php-4.0.2/main/configuration-parser.y:28: warning: Header file /home/php/php4/php-4.0.2/main/ext/standard/dl.h exists, but is not readable /home/php/php4/php-4.0.2/main/configuration-parser.y:29: warning: Header file /home/php/php4/php-4.0.2/main/ext/standard/file.h exists, but is not readable /home/php/php4/php-4.0.2/main/configuration-parser.y:30: warning: Header file /home/php/php4/php-4.0.2/main/ext/standard/php_browscap.h exists, but is not readable /home/php/php4/php-4.0.2/main/configuration-parser.y:31: warning: Header file /home/php/php4/php-4.0.2/main/zend_extensions.h exists, but is not readable /home/php/php4/php-4.0.2/main/configuration-scanner.l:22: warning: Header file /home/php/php4/php-4.0.2/main/php.h exists, but is not readable /home/php/php4/php-4.0.2/main/configuration-scanner.l:23: warning: Header file /home/php/php4/php-4.0.2/main/configuration-parser.h exists, but is not readable The path /home/php/php4 does not exist on my system. I also have this other warning: dl.c:91: warning: `IS_SLASH' redefined /nfs/s5/space/users/guest/www/compil/php-4.0.2/main/php_virtual_cwd.h:54: warning: this is the location of the previous definition This is with 4.0.2 final from php.net on NetBSD 1.3.3 x86 (without bison). Here's my configure line: ./configure --with-config-file-path=/space/www/etc/httpd/conf/php_cgi \ --enable-discard-path \ --with-gd=/u/guest/www/mbin/i386-NetBSD \ --with-mysql \ --with-dbase \ --with-zlib=/u/guest/www/mbin/i386-NetBSD \ --with-mcrypt=/u/guest/www/mbin/i386-NetBSD \ --with-mhash=/u/guest/www/mbin/i386-NetBSD \ --enable-ftp \ --enable-inline-optimization \ --with-jpeg-dir=/u/guest/www/mbin/i386-NetBSD \ --with-imap=/u/guest/www/mbin/i386-NetBSD/lib
