I'm all for this too !
I was thinking for a while that php output (like error messsages) is
not so good beeing HTML when you use it as a standalone application.
I didn't bring it up because I had no clean solution, but the idea you
propose is just _the way_ to do it ! We could just filter out HTML
tags and that'd be it ! Great !
