Ludwig,
I adapted ICU 1.4 for Apache so that it could be used with PHP. I am now in
the process of building a 1.6 version. Both Xalan and Xerces use ICU.
The problem I see with expat is that it is designed around the Latin1 code
page.
I implemented PHP-3 ICU support but I can not get any help with upgrading it
to PHP-4. I am doing this on my own, I don't even use PHP. Do you have any
idea who I should talk to?
My mod_xicu code runs as part of Apache providing both an interface that is
PHP friendly and provides extended mime support. I am working with the ICU
folks to integrate my ICU mods hopefully in ICU 1.7. I also need to make
changes to the core PHP code as well. For this I need some cooperation that
I am not getting.
