Just a note here, win2k is supposed to be able to utilize multiple dll's
with the same name. They did this to help prevent dll versioning
problems and to avoid older apps overwriting newer dll's when they
install.
As I understand it (haven't done it myself yet), you should be able to
put the msvc dll's into the PHP directory. PHP will use those dll's,
everything else (that doesn't have it's own copy) would use the system32
copy. They would both get loaded into seperate memory spaces. This
should work so long as the php directory is not in the path (before the
system32 directory).
With NT4.0/win95/98, everything would use the copy of the first dll
loaded into memory irregardless of version, thus causing problems if you
have mutliple versions of the dll's.
However, it is best to have the latest version in the system32 directory
anyway.
