So, the situation:
php as the apache module can create images BUT ONLY IN THE allowed zone of
WWW tree. Maybe, it is good.
BUT
when creating the image in /tmp, for example, we've get ZERO LENGTH
FILE.
MORE
we cannot get on-the-fly image
BUT:
all steps in image output are passed, but file is zero length.
