This is most likely fixed in PHP 4.0.3RC2 since I have --enable-ftp
there like it should be.

I compile php 4.0.2 with this configure :
./configure --with-pgsql=/usr/lib/pgsql --enable-bcmath --with-mysql=yes --with-tiff-dir
--with-jpeg-dir --with-png-dir --with-ldap=yes --with-imap=yes --with-gd=yes --with-zlib=yes
--with-xml --with-ttf --enable-ftp --with-dbm --with-ndbm --with-gdbm --with-snmp --with-gettext
--with-config-file-path=/etc/httpd --with-apxs=/usr/sbin/apxs --with-exec-dir=/usr/lib/apache/bin
--enable-versioning --enable-yp --enable-trans-sid --enable-inline-optimization
--enable-track-vars --enable-magic-quotes --enable-safe-mode --enable-sysvsem --enable-sysvshm
--enable-calendar --enable-memory-limit --enable-wddx --with-readline --with-openssl
but phpinfo() display :
'./configure' '--with-pgsql=/usr/lib/pgsql' '--enable-bcmath'
'--with-mysql=yes' '--with-tiff-dir' '--with-jpeg-dir'
'--with-png-dir' '--with-ldap=yes' '--with-imap=yes'
'--with-gd=yes' '--with-zlib=yes' '--with-xml' '--with-ttf'
'--with-ftp' '--with-dbm' '--with-ndbm' '--with-gdbm'
'--with-snmp' '--with-gettext' '--with-config-file-path=/etc/httpd'
'--with-apxs=/usr/sbin/apxs' '--with-exec-dir=/usr/lib/apache/bin'
'--enable-versioning' '--enable-yp' '--enable-trans-sid'
'--enable-inline-optimization' '--enable-track-vars'
'--enable-magic-quotes' '--enable-safe-mode' '--enable-sysvsem'
'--enable-sysvshm' '--enable-calendar' '--enable-memory-limit'
'--enable-wddx' '--with-readline' '--with-openssl'
--with-ftp in place of --enable-ftp ! And we all know that --with-ftp work only with PHP3 and not
with PHP4 so it could lead to some fake alerts.
