I agree that everything doesn't have to be in the main tree. Highly
specialized modules shouldn't be in the main tree (like the Cashcow
extension - which I maintain - isn't). However, handling arbitrary
precision math is _not_ an exotic facility, IMHO.
I'm simply looking for a more feasible way to offer multiple precision
arithmetic support to PHP.
Is the PHP group generally against gmp as a PHP extension?
