ID: 6709 Updated by: sniper Reported By: reef@totalise.co.uk Status: Feedback Bug Type: MySQL related Assigned To: Comments: I can not reproduce this. Which version of mysql do you use? What is your configure line for PHP ? And please provide shortest possible reproducing script too. --Jani Previous Comments: --------------------------------------------------------------------------- [2000-09-13 05:56:49] reef@totalise.co.uk I am getting intermittent segmentation faults when running scripts that talk to a remote mysql server. I have tried running php as dso and cgi and on both rh6.1 & 6.2 - and it doesn't make any difference. The only success I have had is when I tried running the scripts on the mysql box (so it connects to localhost) and it seems to work fine. I have tried a back trace and this is what I get: (gdb) run -X -f /usr/local/apache/conf/httpd.conf Starting program: /usr/local/apache/bin/httpd -X -f /usr/local/apache/conf/httpd.conf Program received signal SIGSEGV, Segmentation fault. 0x4013d0e4 in chunk_free (ar_ptr=0x401d1d60, p=0x8202f18) at malloc.c:3100 3100 malloc.c: No such file or directory. Is this something to do with mysql multithreading? Mysql was compiled from source to eliminate linking against pthreads. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Full Bug description available at: http://bugs.php.net/?id=6709
