Hello and thank you for your support.
I checked your site at www.php4win.de but could not find any issue about doc_root.
What surprises me is that suddenly version 4 is not able to do what version 3 does perfectly. Has anything changed ? I cannot set some data into the doc_root entry as it is already something known by my server and duplicating data entry is something i want to avoid. I wish I could understand what is going so wrong with this version 4. Nobody around me has been able to use it.

I tried with dev version of php from php4win.de. The exact name of the file i downloaded is : php4.0.4-dev-win32-20001022.zip The "crash" is now smoother as i get an appropriate error message within my browser : "No input file specified." I don't know how website calls php.exe but i don't think there is a way to specify additional stuff like '%1' when making the association between .php and php.exe within website's configuration interface (as it is possible with IIS for instance). But again website launches the version 3 of php.exe with full success. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Full Bug description available at: http://bugs.php.net/?id=7514
