Here're reports with latest snapshot .
- NetBSD 1.3.3 x86, gcc 2.7.2.2, works fine in CGI mode with many modules,
see http://www.epita.fr:8000/~cahagn_o/php/info.php
snapshot 200011040345 configured with many modules and
specially --enable-sockets (see warnings below).
compilation warnings:

- Digital Unix 4.0, gcc 2.7.2.3, default flex, default make, snapshot
200011032145 works fine, I just get a few warnings, I splitted them in 2
parts:
./configure --enable-sockets
The first ones are 64-bit related as I get the same warnings on ia-64
platform too:
php_mysql.c: In function `php_mysql_do_connect':
php_mysql.c:503: warning: cast from pointer to integer of different size
tsrm_virtual_cwd.c: In function `virtual_getcwd':
tsrm_virtual_cwd.c:243: warning: passing arg 1 of `virtual_getcwd_ex' from
incompatible pointer type
Other warnings:
zend_ini.c: In function `zend_ini_refresh_caches':
zend_ini.c:161: warning: cast to pointer from integer of different size
php_logos.c: In function `php_info_logos':
php_logos.c:77: warning: passing arg 2 of zend_hash_find' discards const'
from pointer target type
sockets.c: In function `php_if_strerror':

cast
sockets.c: In function `php_if_getsockopt':
sockets.c:1956: warning: passing arg 5 of `getsockopt' from incompatible
pointer type
sockets.c:1973: warning: passing arg 5 of `getsockopt' from incompatible
pointer type
- OpenBSD 2.6, default gcc 2.95.2, default make and bison 1.27:
snapshot 200011040445, ./configure --enable-sockets
I get the same compilation warnings as on NetBSD:
php_logos.c: In function `php_info_logos':
php_logos.c:77: warning: passing arg 2 of `zend_hash_find' discards
qualifiers from pointer target type
sockets.c: In function `php_if_recvmsg':
sockets.c:1747: warning: assignment from incompatible pointer type
sockets.c:1753: warning: assignment from incompatible pointer type
sockets.c:1806: warning: assignment from incompatible pointer type
sockets.c:1812: warning: assignment from incompatible pointer type
sockets.c: In function `php_if_sendmsg':
sockets.c:1887: warning: assignment from incompatible pointer type
sockets.c:1911: warning: assignment from incompatible pointer type
Overall, PHP 4.0.4 seems ok for me and is the best PHP 4 release so far for
me on BSD in CGI mode.
