Just tried 200011022345, the problem still occurs on Digital Unix 4.0 (I didn't try NetBSD but I guess it's the same).

Oops, forgot the configure line, I reduced my usual configure line
to the
minimum: ./configure that's all, it fails on NetBSD 1.3.3, NetBSD 1.4.2 and Digital
Unix 4.0.
