PHP's configure says checking whether to include debugging symbols... yes checking whether to enable Zend debugging... yes And file says that neither apache nor libphp4.so are stripped: [...]/bin/httpd: ELF 32-bit LSB executable, Intel 80386, version 1, dynamically linked (uses shared libs), not stripped [...]/libexec/libphp4.so: ELF 32-bit LSB shared object, Intel 80386, version 1, not stripped But the fact that I compiled Apache with StackGuard might cause this? I now recompiled Apache with normal gcc, but am unable to get a core file. Into which directory should Apache write its core?
