I actually sent a comment about this, but it didn't seem to arrive at php-dev... There are no Empress specific cursor features in uODBC; cur_opt is not associated with Empress, I'm not even sure where its used!. As far as I can see, it's likely to be associated either with OpenLink or the ExtendedFetch feature - these are the only areas where cursors seem to be explicitly mentioned....
