I agree.
However, we might run into problems because some of these sites (qa, hosts
specifically) aren't being hosted by the PHP mirrors, but by particular
people ... and don't use the same common files as php.net.
For instance, I'm hosting the hosts.php.net site. It looks and feels like
the php.net site, but only because I stole my code and graphics. :) If
we redesign the main site, I'll have to redesign hosts.php.net too. This
isn't too onerous, except that I would really like to get out of maintaining
this site. In fact, there was some bunch of people who were willing to do
it (haven't heard from them in 6 months or so, so I guess they aren't
interested anymore).
What should we do in situations like this? Fold the stuff into the main
PHP site (hosts.php.net relies heavily on it's mysql database)? Or
require people to use our graphics/header-footer code? Then who enforces
it or does quality-assurance to make sure it looks good?
