| database solutions and IBM DB2 is on that list. PHP is already the
| deployment platform, so now we just have to choose a medium-to-big iron DB

| non-optimal, but I find it to be odd considering the number of datasources
| PHP already supports out of the ball.

I was under the impression that IBM DB2's native API was the same as the
ODBC CLI. Am I completely mistaken?
