Speaking of which...I'm currently helping one of my clients to investigate
database solutions and IBM DB2 is on that list. PHP is already the
deployment platform, so now we just have to choose a medium-to-big iron DB
to run it.
Is there a particular reason why there is not a native support module for
IBM DB2 for PHP. I'm not necessarily saying ODBC access is bad or
non-optimal, but I find it to be odd considering the number of datasources
PHP already supports out of the ball.
Is it a lack of available libraries to link against/APIs to draw from, or
something more than that?
Just curious.
