For the archives, this was NOT an esthetical debate. Yes,
"foo();" looks nicer, but that was not the question.
"foo();" is simply not equivalent to "foo(void);", no matter
how much some guy rants about committees going backwards etc.
If you want to express that a function takes no parameters,
the only way in C is to use "foo(void);". Let me say it
again: It is not a matter of preference.
