I agree that this is horrible, however, if this is truly occuring with apache,
I don't see where that error could occur.
I have a few questions for anyone that has seen this.
Is the source code view equiv to what you see with x-httpd-php-source?
If so, do you have x-httpd-php-source defined in your httpd.conf file?
