additional user requested comment:
introducing a $LOCALS variable would be an evident slowdown,
thus implementing this is not affordable

Enhancement to make debugging much easier:
Is it anyhow possible to pull out the local scope out of PHP? I`m sometimes using var_dump($GLOBALS)
and I think var_dump($LOCALS) could be useful too.
Eg. if you´ve function calls and you want to know all parameters passed.
