ID: 8152 Updated by: sniper Reported By: martin.sigut@itsnet.cz Old-Status: Feedback Status: Bogus Bug Type: Compile Failure Assigned To: Comments: I don't understand where the bug is mentioned? Of course you need zlib-devel if you need to compile something that uses zlib..and if you have compiled libxml with zlib, then you will need it. And ./configure --help gives plenty of choices, e.g --with-zlib-path --Jani Previous Comments: --------------------------------------------------------------------------- [2000-12-15 10:11:15] sniper@php.net What was the FULL configure line you have used? And what was in the config.log (in the end) ? --Jani --------------------------------------------------------------------------- [2000-12-07 04:32:09] martin.sigut@itsnet.cz If you have RedHat distribution and compile php4 with DOM XML, MUST be installed package zlib-devel... Without this package ./configure --with-dom finish with error : DOM module requires libxml >= 2.0. (libxml2 installed, tested with 2.2.3 and 2.2.10) --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Full Bug description available at: http://bugs.php.net/?id=8152
