PHP Bug Type: Misbehaving function
Bug description: The mail() function doesn't correctly escape lines with only a dot in them
hmm, short script reproducing the problem? I'd rather just describe what I do: I create a new
file from a database, then use this file to create a patch with diff. I have diff output an ed
script because the system administrator demands it. Now I want to use mail() to send the script, but
as soon as the dot indicating the end of the first change is reached, mail() will finish sending.
Apparently the dot is directly passed to the smtpd and thus treated as the "end of
message" marker.
