ID: 12503 Updated by: goba Reported By: m.keir@qut.edu.au Old Status: Closed Status: Bogus Bug Type: Documentation problem Operating System: w2k PHP Version: 4.0.6 New Comment: Joey's right, this should be bogus and not closed. We were concurently writing our annotations :)) Previous Comments: ------------------------------------------------------------------------ [2001-08-01 04:02:27] goba@php.net This is a known problem. We discussed to compress it, so no browser will open it (I don't know why Netscape thinks he should open it). But the compressed sizes are larger than the uncompressed ones, as CHMs are compressed themselfs :)) ------------------------------------------------------------------------ [2001-08-01 04:01:24] joey@php.net Not a PHP bug. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ [2001-08-01 03:17:34] irc-html@php.net Was able to duplicate the problem in Netscape, same thing happens in Mozilla (0.8.1 and 0.9.2) as well. You can "Save As" or "Save Link As" to download the file. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ [2001-08-01 03:06:29] m.keir@qut.edu.au As suggested, IE on W2K download works fine. Netscape 4.78 on the same machine doesn't (includes shift+click to download) ------------------------------------------------------------------------ [2001-08-01 02:54:59] irc-html@php.net Download seems fine, was able to save as and open right from browser (IE) on win2k. Anyone else able to duplicate the problem? ------------------------------------------------------------------------ The remainder of the comments for this report are too long.
