ID: 13893 User updated by: jyrgen@phon.ioc.ee Reported By: jyrgen@phon.ioc.ee Status: Bogus Bug Type: Reproducible crash Operating System: Windows 2000 Old PHP Version: 4.0.8 PHP Version: 4.0.6 New Comment: well ... i got it to working-state now that i downgraded to 4.0.6 and went through all kinds of mambo-jambo in httpd.conf ... for all others stuck on same corner: httpd.conf is the key, php is dumb, and remains this way ... there is no way getting them nor the apache_mod_ssl distributor giving you any hints ... just make sure your httpd.conf has ALL modules needed and apache is able to load php as CGI ... and last hint. never go for "latest release" always stay on the "stable and announced" version. til then. HTTP 400 - Bad Request ... it makes no sense and i know it ... but it's all i can get from PHP at all trough apache... and belive me this is not my first installation of apache+php ... nor the second ... but it's the first of this kind, where i have trouble ... ------------------------------------------------------------------------ [2001-11-02 23:18:26] sniper@php.net Not a bug. You need to compile PHP with the apache you're running it with as the distribution module is not compiled with Apache that has EAPI enabled. Or use the CGI instead. --Jani ------------------------------------------------------------------------ [2001-11-01 09:48:52] jyrgen@phon.ioc.ee grin ... all ya bug-hole scanners, i do not have IIS nor do i permit any CGI access to foregin hosts ... and all you will be "honored" on a listing i created : voice.phon.ioc.ee/loosers-list.txt :) ------------------------------------------------------------------------ [2001-10-31 20:40:41] jyrgen@phon.ioc.ee if u feel like looking at my server try -> voice.phon.ioc.ee there you can get the php.ini file ... if it gives you any help ... and a simple php file is there and a .txt extension-version aswell ... ------------------------------------------------------------------------ [2001-10-31 20:28:34] jyrgen@phon.ioc.ee using php 4.0.8 gave : ----- Syntax error on line 196 of c:/server/apache/conf/httpd.conf: Cannot load c:/www/php/sapi/php4apache.dll into server: (127) The specified procedure could not be found: ----- and using php from commandline (and gave a file.php as a parameter) worked just fine ... it has made my head spin now for 2 days ... and i am ready to give up :) ------------------------------------------------------------------------ The remainder of the comments for this report are too long.
