Hi, I apologize in advance if this is not the place to ask. I just figured, I'd get a better answer from this group.
Is there a performance increase by compiling your code into php (either dynamic or static) as opposed to writing complex code in php.
Note: this bit of code would be used by every request in the application, reads many files and does a lot of string parsing.
