Maybe, but I got the impression that DBI as as database layer is no so
abstract because the developer still has to be aware of what abilities the
underlying driver has, meaning I didn't see a way for the programs to
determine whether the driver supports transactions for instance. I don't
know DBI that much. Maybe I am mistaken.
