I know. I was just pointing that you just went ahead and implemented
something, without getting all twisted up in discussion about what
to do. I keep wishing someone would do that with the SQL database
abstraction layer.
I think the more we say "do it this way" or "don't do it this way",
the more likely it is someone will assume that they can't just
ignore us and do what they think is right. We'll have gained more
from someone doing it wrong than nobody doing anything.
And yes, I'm being part of them problem now, so I'll shut up about
it and go back to just doing things.
