Before we move stuff to PECL can you give us an overview of how this is supported? How do I get a list of extensions which are in PECL, download what I want and add them to my PHP tree for a static compile or build them dynamically? I assume you guys automated these things.
Please can you give us an overview?
Thanks,
Andi

I think the following "standard" extensions should be moved to
PECL:

ext/icap
ext/pfpro
ext/yaz
This is definitely not an inclusive list; it's just a start. I
can't imagine a lot of people using these modules, so they seem
like good candidates for removal from the base PHP distribution.
Are there any well-founded objections to this (either in practice
or principle)?
