Well, I don't know about C. OpenStep let's you use Java objects from Objective-C
and vice versa by means of a java bridge

This is probably significantly easier from Obj-C than C as both are fully OO
languages. I suppose it would theoretically be possible to add an Obj-C module to
php and do this, but it would require creating a bridge similar to what apple has
done, and something tells me that they don't give out the information on how they
did it :)
