Well in that case you can't run PHP4.1.1 on Debian (Potato) -
if you want it to stay stable anyway.
I do understand that I'm building from scratch :) - And I have
no reason not to believe, that you know what you are talking about.
So I'll just say this, and then let it slide (It works for me - so
frankly I don't care ;-)
Just before upgrading to the 4.0.6 (this is "way" back, as you can
understand) I also did a CVS checkout. At this "early" point in time
the CVS checkout had requirements to autoconf/make and libtool that
the later 4.0.6 release didn't have. This is why I was led to believe
something similar might be the case for the 4.1.1 release.
